Introducción
The first Barcelona workshop on Social Modelling and Simulations will be an occasion for joint reflection and a space for exchange for those who investigate social behavior applying, from different perspectives, the tools of physical, mathematical, and computational sciences.
Specifically, the SMS Barcelona workshop pursues, among others, the objective of convening the academic community of experts in formal and computational social modeling to share the advances of the field and reflect together on how to overcome the epistemological and application limits that the field is facing.
Detalles
The workshop will be preceded by two open online debates (what can a model do? and what can (what) data?) starting on November 20 and ending on December 10.
The debate will begin with some invited interventions and then will be open to the participation of anyone interested.
The in person sections, which will include thematic round tables and working groups, will all be held in Barcelona on December 11 and 12 at the University of Barcelona Faculty of Physics.
Participation is free of charge upon registration.
